Plagiarism Policy – Ehsania: Jurnal Manajemen & Pendidikan Islam

The Editorial Board of Ehsania considers plagiarism a serious academic offense. To uphold scholarly integrity, the journal implements the following policy and sanctions:

Similarity Screening

  • All manuscripts are screened using Turnitin (or equivalent) before the peer review stage and again prior to publication.
  • A similarity index exceeding 20% (excluding properly cited references and quotations) will result in the manuscript being returned for revision and resubmission.

Levels of Plagiarism & Sanctions

Level Definition Action
Minor Limited verbatim text copied without proper citation, without copying ideas or data. Formal warning. Authors must revise the manuscript and provide proper citations.
Intermediate Substantial sections of text copied without attribution. Manuscript rejected. All listed authors are barred from submitting to Ehsania for 1 year.
Severe Extensive plagiarism involving original data, results, or core ideas. Manuscript rejected. All listed authors are barred from submitting for 5 years.

Author Responsibility

All authors are equally responsible for ensuring the originality of the submitted manuscript. Submission implies full acceptance of this policy and Ehsania’s copyright and licensing terms. Sanctions apply collectively to all authors listed on a manuscript found to contain plagiarism.
