Abstract
This study aims to analyze the process of forming students’ religious behavior through religious extracurricular activities. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at an Islamic-based educational institution. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving students, religious extracurricular coaches, and school administrators. The results show that religious extracurricular activities play a strategic role in shaping students’ religious behavior through habituation, exemplary practices, internalization of religious values, and a supportive school culture. Activities such as congregational prayers, Qur’an recitation, religious mentoring, and Islamic celebrations contribute significantly to students’ discipline, moral conduct, and religious awareness. This study recommends strengthening the integration between curricular and extracurricular religious programs to optimize character and religious behavior development among students.
